Hey book lovers, are you looking for a great deal on books and other materials? Well, you’re in luck because the Friends of Manitowoc Public Library’s Used Book Sale is just around the corner! If you love books and bargains, this summer sale is for you! The Friends of Manitowoc Public Library load up the entire Balkansky Community Room on MPL’s Second Floor until it is just about bursting at the seams with literary deals and steals. The fun starts Thursday, June 27th, so mark your calendars!
We have a wide variety of books and other materials for all ages, including DVDs, music CDs, books on CD, and even magazines. The sale is jam-packed with amazing deals! We are talking about major bargain basement pricing. And then we go all out with the Stuff-a-Bag Saturday for just $4. Yes, you heard me right. You can fill a whole grocery bag with all kinds of goodies for just $4!
Here is a sneak peek at some of The Friends Used Book sale prices:
- Adult fiction and nonfiction $1.
- Youth books 50 cents
- DVD’s $2.
- Music CDs $1.
- Books on CD $2
- An assortment of specially priced unique items.
Please note: NO DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS!!! ONLY CASH or LOCAL CHECKS, please! No cash, no problem! We have an ATM right in the building on the first floor near the main service desk.
It takes a lot of hard work to put this annual event together. Manitowoc Public Library has an amazing group of volunteers who work hard to ensure this sale is well-stocked and well-organized. They absolutely love seeing our patrons leave with big smiles on their faces and their purchases in hand!
By purchasing books at the sale, you are not only getting great deals, but you are also supporting the library and its programs. The Friends of Manitowoc Public Library’s Used Book Sale helps raise funds for the Summer Reading Program, a super important and loved event at the library.
The Summer Reading Program offers special programming and cool prizes to keep children engaged, motivated, and diving into fantastic books all summer long. But that’s not all! Manitowoc Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is also chock full of family activity nights and exciting events that will entertain, be informative, and bring our community together.
Don’t forget, not only do you support the library’s programs, but you also score some awesome deals. And they’re yours to keep, share, take on vacation, or even give as gifts.
