Event Details

For the final “Movie Night at the Library” of 2024, MPL’s Matt Mottl invites one-and-all to accompany him to a land of pure imagination via the color-saturated magic of this fantasy musical. Starring the impishly-charming Timothée Chalamet as the namesake candy innovator and surrounded by a superior supporting cast, “Wonka” rolls out the origin story of the confection powerhouse, classically portrayed by Gene Wilder in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. And make sure to be on the lookout for the true “land of pure imagination” that’s revealed towards the end of the film (Hint: you may find yourself seated in one if you attend “Wonka”)!

Meet us in the Balkansky Community Room for a screening of Wonka (2023, PG, 1hr 56min).  FREE admission.
