Event Details
Manitowoc Public Library is delighted to present “An Evening with Sarah Vowell.” This program is FREE and open to the public thanks to the generous sponsorship of Manitowoc Public Library Foundation, Courthouse Pub, Manitowoc Public School District, and Capitol Civic Centre.
Vowell—”New York Times” best-selling author, historian, contributing editor for the public radio show "This American Life" from 1996-2008 (where she produced numerous commentaries and documentaries and toured the country in many of the program’s live shows), and star of Pixar Studio’s “The Incredibles” animated film series—will be participating in an onstage conversation focused on her book, “Assassination Vacation,” followed by a Q&A session. She will also devote a bit of time to discussing her Cherokee heritage. After Ms. Vowell’s presentation, people will have the opportunity to convene in the CCC’s Mertens Lounge for a book-signing session. Should anyone wish to acquire “Assassination Vacation” to be signed that evening, Bev Denor from LaDeDa Books will be on-hand with copies of the book available for purchase.
This is a mask-optional event, although masks will be available for anyone who wants one.
